Malta Uncut

"The name of our company is a term we adopted from the film industry which we feel sums up how we want to present Malta. We want to give our client a privileged view... "

Sustainability

“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.” - Robert Swan

Doing our utmost to create sustainable events and giving back where possible is a must in our office. It is not a difficult or complicated feat to do so, as we believe that every little helps, and if everyone does what they can, then we are already helping our planet.

Accommodation

The 4 and 5 star hotels that we work with have taken huge steps in making their properties more eco-friendly.  Photovoltaic panels, smart heating and lighting systems, water dispensers in the lobbies and meeting rooms, RO systems in the bedrooms are some of the things that have been introduced to make the hotel more eco-responsible.

Restaurants

Malta Uncut works with restaurants and caterers who are sensitive to wastage. Many of our partners source their ingredients locally, or, even better, grow their own produce. One of our preferred leading catering companies has a hydoponic farm, which helps to ensure that there is absolutely no food wastage after an event. We also encourage at least one vegetarian dish and discourage printed menus where possible.

Activities

There are several activities that we have created which ensure that participants can experience the islands eco-responsibly and also help the locals. Gozo by electric tuk tuk, farm-to-table cooking experience, kayaking and Stand Up Paddle-boarding, learning a local trade, a photography course in nature...these are just a few of what we propose, but there are many others in our creative box.

Transport

Malta is a small country, so transfers are short, which already an advantage. Moreover, our transport partner is also sensitive to sustainability and has photovoltaic panels installed on several of his vehicles therefore helping to generate energy as they work.

Giving back

Being an island, the sea is our soul. At Malta Uncut, we believe that protecting our seas is crucial and for this reason,we choose to support Neil Agius. Neil Agius is a swimmer, olympian, world record breaker, mindset mentor and environmentalist. He raises awareness about the importance of looking after our seas by long distance swimming... the longest one yet having been an impressive 125 km. Neil would also be willing to meet the participants, teaching them some techniques as well as speaking about the cause and how everyone can do their bit.
